Scituate High School is located in the town of North Scituate Rhode Island. The school and city are located in a more rural part of Rhode Island. The principal of the high school which includes grades 9-12 is Mr. Micheal Sollitto. Scituate High School schools about 570 students total and is located at 94 Trimtown Road. Some of the communities which surround Scituate are Foster, Glocester, Cranston, Johnston, Smithfield, and Coventry. Scituate High School is a high preforming school, whose majority of students achieve the standard score for SAT's and other standardized tests. As a result of the high schools' academic preformance, the school has a high graduation rate. Overall the Scituate community supports its students and teachers and the school climate is a positive one.
Scituate High School preforms higher overall academically. On tests such as the SATs the high school is more proficient in Math and English as compared to other Rhode Island averages. Majority of the students at Scituate High School achieved the standard of Math and English. This shows that the Scituate school atmosphere is a studious and knowledgeable one. Also within the high school, female students are reaching higher proficiency in Math and English Language Arts the the male students. Other statistics from this section show that they school is an all white community, so the students encounter little to no diversity. One of the few negatives about Scituate high school is that its' students with disabilities are not reaching the proficiency level in Mathematics.
There is a high graduation rate of students (88.6%) at Scituate High School, which is higher than the Rhode Island state graduation target of 75.3%. According to the schools performance summary, Scituate High School continues to make "Adequate Yearly Progress". This means that the high school can be considered a high preforming school that produces knowledgeable students who care about their personal success. One can infer that because of the high attendance rate, students enjoying going to Scituate High School and are in a comfortable/ safe school climate. The general climate of the school is average and considered the same as other RI schools.

The parent participation rate for the SALT survey at Scituate High School is almost identical to other Rhode Island high schools, which is below 20%. According to the data, teachers do not seem to be very satisfied to the extent to which parents are supportive of the school. This could mean that the parents and community think they are being supportive of the high school, but the teachers are the ones with the students all day and they (the teachers) see that the community needs to support the high school more than they already do. Parents agree that overall, Scituate High School does a good job contacting the parents in regards to their child's education and well-being.

This suggests that the high school has a good learning environment. Though the parental involvement is a bit low for Scituate compared to other schools. Throughout the SALT survey report it is stated that Scituate High school is a "good school" but that it has the potential to be great or better if it learns to expand in other opportunities of growth. This is also the only high school in the town of Scituate and it is a very small school with only about 570 students total. This suggests how the school does so well each year on standardized testing because of the small class room sizes and the learning environment. Scituate High School also has a school improvement committee which realizes that the school needs to continue to "change, grow, and improve" so that the high school can continue to perform well academically and personally.

Overall Scituate High School is a well rounded and high preforming school. Both the students and the community seem to be content with the academic progress of their students. Scituate High School is a small town and the school's student population is small as well. This could be a factor that is key to the academic success of the school's students.
